It is strange that if we lose 86400 yuan, we should collapse, but we waste 86400 seconds of a day, but we don't feel sad at all.

Our perception of time is much smaller and slower than money.

Assuming you have never taken any time notes, please answer these three questions:

  1. What are the three activities that you spend the most time each week / month?

  2. What do you do after work and what do you do on weekends?

  3. How much time do you think you have been wasted?

Think about these three questions first, and then I'll tell you some Chinese average data.

  1. The average mobile phone lights up for 4-5 hours a day.

  2. Watch movies and TV dramas for an average of 3-4 hours a day.

  3. The average time of individual discretionary activities is 4 hours.

The 《》given by reads as follows:

"watching TV is still the main way of leisure for residents, with 1 hour and 40 minutes in 2018, but 26 minutes less than a decade ago, accounting for 6.9 percent of the whole day, down 1.8 percentage points; leisure and entertainment time is 1 hour and 5 minutes, an increase of 25 minutes over 2008, accounting for 4.5 percent of the whole day, an increase of 1.7 percentage points."

The allocation of time in a day for residents

In other words, most people sleep for 8 hours and work for 8 hours. In the remaining 8 hours, apart from eating and washing, and excluding the average free time spent playing mobile TV series and reading books, the real time for study and training is only 1.9%. An average of 27 minutes a day.

Do you spend 27 minutes on your study every day?

Maybe one afternoon you were really ashamed of wasting your time, but only for a few hours, and then you were immediately attracted by the hot search on Weibo or the beautiful little sister Douyin.

Wait until the next time I don't know when to be ashamed, and what will change after the shame is over? I'm afraid it will be a "shameless" endless cycle.

There are also a large number of people who simply do not realize that they are "wasting time". Why is it recommended that you take a time record? Because the record is a switch, let you re-sense the passage of time, live in more than 50 times a day (an average of 50 times a day to switch activities) strong reminders, the probability of change soars!

After reading this report, you can also find that even if you don't need time recording, you don't learn any methodology of time management.

The simplest and most practical way to control wasted time is:

It is forbidden to play TV series and play with mobile phones.

If you want to accommodate time with nowhere to spend, add two more:

  1. Read your goals once a day.

  2. Find (1-3) things to do that will make money.

Come to think of it, you realize when other people don't realize they're wasting time, and then you spend four hours a day on most people's phones to study or develop hobbies, and six years later, you can become a 10000-hour expert, at least a Top10 in a niche.

Think about the time you wasted, and look at this picture.

Where is the course of your life? What are you going to do for the next six years?

Time records help you "see" the time.

Six years later, other people will only say, "Oh, time is gone." You, on the other hand, know where the time has gone.

Where time is, there is achievement.

Simulate 90 years of life, one year at a time.
